Chief Executive Officer – MND Victoria
- Lead with purpose
- Create impact
- Champion the fight against MND.
MND Victoria provides life-changing support to people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families. Guided by a powerful mission — to provide and promote the best possible care until the world is free of MND — the organisation delivers essential care, advocacy, and support across Victoria, Tasmania, and regional communities.
At a time of strategic transformation and growing demand for services, MND Victoria is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next chapter.
The Role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide visionary and values-based leadership, ensuring MND Victoria continues to deliver high-quality support services, advocacy, and fundraising outcomes that honour the organisation's purpose and legacy.
You will lead a talented team of 60 staff and more than 100 volunteers, oversee strategic partnerships, and strengthen collaboration with state MND associations and MND Australia. Central to this role is ensuring the organisation remains financially sustainable, operationally effective, and deeply connected to its community.
Key priorities include:
- Providing strategic leadership that balances advocacy, service delivery, and revenue generation.
- Building strong partnerships with government, health, disability, and aged care stakeholders.
- Diversifying income streams through philanthropy, fundraising, and innovative service models.
- Embedding an inclusive, values-driven culture that champions empathy, compassion, and respect.
About You
You are a proven executive leader — likely a current or former CEO or senior executive — with a track record of driving mission-led organisations in the not-for-profit, health, aged care, disability, or palliative care sectors.
You bring:
- Deep understanding of the NDIS, community care, and human services ecosystems.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong financial acumen, governance capability, and comfort working closely with an engaged Committee.
- An authentic connection to purpose — empathy for people living with MND and a genuine commitment to improving lives.
Your leadership blends commercial thinking with compassion. You inspire confidence through strategy and heart, able to navigate both operational realities and human impact.
Why This Role Matters
This is an opportunity to lead one of Victoria's most respected and purpose-driven organisations — one that provides hope and care to hundreds of families every year.
You'll be joining an organisation built on courage, advocacy, and community. Your leadership will directly shape its future — strengthening its voice, ensuring sustainability, and driving progress toward a world free of MND.
