This agency is the cornerstone of the government's comprehensive sport strategy: Safeguarding the Integrity of Sport.
Their role is to provide advice and assistance to counter the use of prohibited substances in sport, abuse of children and other persons in a sporting environment, manipulation of sporting competitions and failure to protect members of sporting organisations and other persons in a sporting environment from bullying, intimidation, discrimination, or harassment.
The Opportunity
As a Paralegal, you'll provide critical support to the in-house Legal team, managing documentation, preparing legal briefs, assisting with case management, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The Role
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Drafting legal documentation, prepare briefs to Counsel, undertake legal research and assist in file management
- Assisting in the processing of Freedom of Information requests
- Provide professional, timely and accurate administrative support to the Legal team
- Prioritising workloads and ensure that work is completed on time
- Work collaboratively as a key member of the Legal team, across the agency's business areas and with external stakeholders, to ensure that matters progress efficiently and effectively
- Filing records in accordance with Commonwealth Government requirements for records management processes and security, including management and maintenance of document recording systems
You will have provided paralegal work experience, being able to effectively build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
You have proven experience in liaising with senior executives and Ministerial offices.
You are skilled in scheduling meetings, taking accurate minutes, and delivering clear, concise written and verbal communication. You also possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, track action items, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Previous APS experience is essential to be considered.
Salary / Rate
- $94k - $102k + 15.4%
