Senior Engineer
at Energy Bay, this role holds primary accountability for the solution design and operational execution of Solar and Energy Storage projects. It provides strategic guidance to the Engineering Manager and key stakeholders, identifying and implementing opportunities to optimise project delivery and ensure sustained outperformance against contractual and internal KPIs, driving high-impact outcomes across all phases of the project lifecycle.

As a Senior Engineer with Energy Bay Developments, you will:

• Lead end-to-end engineering and design of PV, BESS, and Embedded Network projects, from feasibility through to commissioning.
• Conduct technical due diligence, site assessments, and system performance analysis to optimise energy output and efficiency.
• Develop and review engineering documentation, specifications, and quality standards to ensure compliance and excellence in delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies and best practices into project design and execution.
• Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle in partnership with senior leadership.
• Support strategic business development initiatives, including partnerships with OEMs and technology providers, to expand Energy Bay's capabilities and market reach.
• Coordinate PV work-pack planning to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
• Supports the Engineering Manager in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to enhance project delivery, ensuring Energy Bay consistently exceeds contractual and internal performance benchmarks.
• Lead recruitment, training, and management of engineering and drafting staff to meet evolving business needs.

You will be successful in the role if you:

• Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar relevant degree
• Over 5 years of specialised experience in PV and BESS engineering solutions
• Expert in solar PV and battery storage system design
  , including system and string sizing, technology selection, and energy storage integration.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical standards and regulatory compliance
  for PV/BESS installations.
• Proven leadership experience
  , with a track record of guiding engineering teams to successful project outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard tools
  , including PVsyst, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  , with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills
  , both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Highly organised with strong project and time management skills
  , ensuring efficient execution and delivery of engineering tasks.

• Understanding of or exposure to renewable energy technology
