About us:

Nonie's is a gluten and dairy free artisan bakery based in Botany. We specialise in manufacturing a select range of carefully crafted baked products. We supply foodservice and retail stockists across 4 states and attend some of Sydney's best markets each weekend.

We're a progressive family-run business with a sustainability focus, and we prioritise a supportive and collaborative work environment.

About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Baker / Assistant Baker to join our great team making delicious gluten and dairy free breads and products at our artisan bakery based in Botany.

  • Social hours, no overnight work
  • Learn new skills and work with beautiful ingredients
  • Social hours - shifts are 6/6 30am - 2 30pm Monday through Friday.
  • One early morning Saturday shift per month (4hrs).

  • Key responsibilites include:

  • Mixing doughs, shaping and bread-making

  • Slicing and packing products
  • Pastry making (including dough sheeter work)
  • Making seasonal products (Easter, Christmas etc) and items for our weekly markets
  • Precise weighing and preparation of ingredients
  • Stock rotation and control
  • Maintaining strict kitchen hygiene practices and measures for allergen control and cross contamination

About you:

  • You'll have at least 2 years baking experience, including experience working with commercial bakery equipment
  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • You'll be passionate about working with precision and accuracy
  • Have great communication skills and time-management
  • You'll demonstrate your ability to establish great working relationships with our awesome team
  • You'll have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Sense of humour and great taste in music a plus
