Planner (Primavera P6) – Mining Projects

About the Role

A leading resources project delivery business is looking for an experienced Planner (Primavera P6) to join their team on upcoming mining projects. This role will see you supporting long-term project planning over day-to-day outages, with exposure across early phase studies (FS/FEED) through to execution planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Support detailed planning across study, design, procurement, and execution phases.
  • Analyse project risks, identify critical paths, and provide accurate progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Drive consistency and accuracy in project forecasts and status updates.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years' Planning experience within the mining/resources sector.
  • Solid proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong project planning focus (as opposed to only shutdown/outage work).
  • Previous exposure to engineering & procurement planning desirable.
  • Experience in feasibility studies, FEED, and early execution phases preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive, detail-driven approach.
