About the Role

You'll play a key role in strengthening automation, DevOps capability, and quality assurance practices across complex Defence environments. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll establish automation frameworks, mature delivery processes, and help ensure high-quality software outcomes within secure, mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the establishment and implementation of test automation for Defence sustainment activities.
  • Upgrade, optimise, and administer Azure DevOps, including automated execution of functional and integration tests.
  • Collaborate with existing testing and development teams to ensure quality, reliability, and readiness of software releases.
  • Update Test Management Plans and processes to incorporate automation practices.
  • Prioritise work effectively in an environment with competing tasks and interdependent streams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across testing, DevOps, and delivery processes.
  • Support additional activities as directed to meet Defence program outcomes.
Required Experience
  • NV2 security clearance (essential).
  • Experience establishing, managing, and enabling automated regression testing using ALM and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience optimising and administering Azure DevOps environments.
  • Strong understanding of automation strategy, test governance, and quality engineering.
  • Experience working within Defence or other complex, secure ICT environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • High attention to detail, structured problem-solving approach, and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
