About the role

MKD Investments Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our new homes construction & plumbing team in the Logan and Gold Coast areas. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting new home construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate 4-6T excavators and skid steer machinery to perform underground drainage
  2. Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  3. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself, your colleagues, and the general public
  4. Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met
  5. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years experience operating excavators and skid steers on house drainage
  2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
  5. Current Queensland HR driver's license
  6. Relevant construction industry certifications or qualifications would be highly regarded
