As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the development and enhancement of key products, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver substantial value. Your role will involve prioritising and guiding feature development to drive impactful digital health solutions and improve user satisfaction.

About the role:

Product Management

  • Take accountability for the full product lifecycle including design, development, launch, embed, support and measure.
  • Define and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, and customer needs and market trends.
  • Make informed decisions on feature prioritisation, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed product requirements and translate them or work with the strategic partner to translate them into actionable user stories
  • Work closely with the design lead and assist by providing context, use cases and low fidelity flows and wireframes as required
  • Work with UX/UI to conduct user research to validate planned development/ roadmap and document value unlocked for users and gather feedback
  • Act as the primary liaison between the development team or partner Product Owners where relevant, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals.
  • Monitor financial performance of product/s, identifying opportunities for cost saving and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial policies.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, providing clear guidance to the development team on priorities and expected outcomes. Where development is delivered by the strategic partner, collaborate closely with the partner Product Owner to achieve clarity of deliverables through the sprint planning process.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of product features by removing roadblocks and facilitating efficient team collaboration both internally and where relevant, with the strategic partner teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of market and competitor trends to inform feature prioritisation and share insights with other members of the Product function where relevant
  • Leverage insights from market and competitor analysis, and with input from the Sales, Marketing and Communications, Customer Success, and Corporate Strategy teams, create and maintain a strategic product roadmap for the product/s within the role's remit
  • Conduct regular reviews of product performance, gathering user feedback and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Analyse support data and identify product improvements / non-functional improvements
  • Support the development team (and the Partner Product Owner where relevant) during the sprint cycle, providing clarifications and adjustments to ensure alignment with the product vision.
  • Work with the quality assurance team to ensure that product features meet defined acceptance criteria and deliver value to users.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Product and Technology Operations and Excellence to share product updates and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency on timelines, risks, and next steps.

Product Launch and Go-to-Market

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and major product / feature updates, ensuring effective positioning, messaging, and market penetration

Planning

  • Contribute to annual planning at the functional and organisation-wide level to inform Telstra Health company objectives.
  • Leverage planning expertise to translate strategic OKR's into Epics, resource requests and dependencies for each quarter

Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead engagement with customers to gather insights around product pain points or compelling opportunities, and translate insights into product improvements that deliver greater business and customer value

Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing concerns

About you:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA).
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in product management or Agile practices, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Product Management Professional (PMP), are highly desirable.
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Aha, or Productboard) and a solid understanding
  • Healthcare related industry knowledge desirable

At least 5 years or equivalent demonstrated experience in:

  • Product Management: Extensive experience in product management or ownership, including developing and managing product roadmaps, prioritising features, and overseeing the lifecycle of multiple products or significant features.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketers, to deliver product enhancements and achieve business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in engaging with a variety of stakeholders, from senior executives to endusers, to gather requirements, negotiate priorities, and align product strategies with business goals.
  • Agile Methodologies: Strong background in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or similar role. Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and manage product backlogs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data analytics to make informed decisions about product features, performance, and market fit, including experience with A/B testing and metrics tracking.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and service providers, evaluating their performance, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, service level agreements (SLAs) and other agreed metrics including definition of done.
