The Strengths Centre is a warm, inclusive allied health practice dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and their families. We are a registered NDIS service and supporting neurodivergent individuals is where we shine. Formerly known as Chercheuse Psychology, our team is known for strengths-based, neuroaffirming care and collaborative service delivery. We're expanding our multidisciplinary team and seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist who shares our passion for innovation, inclusion, and meaningful impact.
About the Role
We're looking for a confident and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide both individual and group therapy to children and adolescents, many of whom are NDIS participants with complex needs. You'll work closely with our psychologists and community partners to co-create engaging, functional interventions that support regulation, participation, and wellbeing.
This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape a growing service. You'll be supported by a values-led team and encouraged to bring your creativity and clinical insight to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver neuroaffirming OT services to children and adolescents (individual and group)
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement evidence-informed interventions
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support holistic care
- Contribute to multidisciplinary planning and service development
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold NDIS compliance standards
- Engage in ongoing professional development, especially in neurodiversity-affirming practice
- Support innovation in service delivery, resources, and community engagement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with children/adolescents in the NDIS space
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain prior to client work)
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Strong clinical reasoning and therapeutic creativity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident working with complex presentations and diverse family systems

Pay: $64,542.34 – $119,347.74 per year
