Ballina isn't just any store - This is one of the largest trading stores in the state Buzzing with a young, energetic team who love what they do.
You'll be side-by-side with the store manager, Misty, whos been a part of Petstock for over 12 years and truly lives and breathes our values, a heart of gold and legend in the Petstock family.
We're on the hunt for an experienced retail leader who's ready to roll up their sleeves, drive sales like a working dog chasing a ball, and inspire a high- performing team to fetch big results. Culture is the most important thing in our store, we work hard and have fun so need to make sure our new 2IC is keen to get involved and bring some more passion to the team.

day in the life… Assistant Manager | Ballina
- Lead by example, mentoring & inspiring your team on a daily basis
- Support your Store Manager in coaching the team to achieve & develop their knowledge and skills
- Lead from the front, providing an exceptional customer experience
- Ensure the safety of the store, team members and customers by maintaining a safe work environment at all times
- Support your Store Manager in stock management, ensuring stock is maintained and accurate
- Assist in managing visual merchandising (VM) of stock displays, ensuring VM standards are kept to
- Be proactive in making sure you keep your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services we provide
- Recruit, onboard, and induct high calibre new Team Members
- Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work every day
- Pro-actively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships
What We Need…
- Experience in a similar store leadership role or ready to take that next step up in your retail management career
- Demonstrated success in driving sales
- Strong leadership with ability to motivate and build a high performing team, with a positive culture
- High degree of resilience & ability to priorities and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to create a positive culture of safety
- Demonstrated ability to achieve & exceed sales targets
- Established business acumen
- Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
- High degree of interpersonal & communication skills
