SC 1 Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage work priorities and flow while delivering efficient administrative support in a busy school environment, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.

SC3 Experience coordinating school operations such as daily organiser and bus coordination and managing administrative tasks to support senior school operations.

Range 3 is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.

This role has 3 main administrative components ¿ general Senior School Administration, Daily Organiser and Bus Coordinator.

General Senior School Administration

  • Working with the Senior School leader and VCE Teaching Staff provide administrative support;
  • A range of administrative support functions
  • Support external service providers as required. Work closely with external agencies including volunteer agencies and Virtual School and GOTAFE to ensure all administration and registration tasks are completed
  • Manage the processing of student VASS registration, entering study scores and student data and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Provide required level of administrative support for senior school events, functions ¿ including camps, pathway evenings and assemblies.
  • Assist with student support meetings and updating student IEPs
  • Attendance checks for Senior students

Daily Organiser

The Daily Organiser is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of the school by managing teacher absences, coordinating casual relief teachers (CRT's), and communicating staff and room changes to all staff. Key duties including managing the absentee phone line, creating and distributing daily bulletins and schedules, and liaising with Leadership to manage unexpected changes to the school timetable.

Bus coordinator

  • Communicate with client schools to collect and record family applications for bus travel
  • Compile and update bus lists regularly
  • Bus duty after school
  • Follow up on incidents
  • Emergency management plan communications
Responsibilities

General Administration

  • Provide general administrative support in Senior school, including VASS administration support, liaise with external clients, student administration, IEP administration and data entry.
  • Operational support to assist with organising and preparing for various senior school events, such as camps, pathway evenings and assemblies.

Daily Organiser

  • Manager staff absences and relief teaching
  • Manage the absentee phone line and process notifications of staff absences
  • Arrange for casual relief teachers (CRT's) to cover absent staff
  • Daily communications Notify teachers and staff of room changes, updated timetables, and relevant events

Bus coordinator

  • Manage all administrative duties associated with the role
  • Ensure Bus Duty is completed daily
  • Manage any incidents reported and follow up

Numurkah Secondary College is excited to invite you to be part of our growing College community.

We are a co-educational College, situated approximately 30kms north of Shepparton. Numurkah is a town of approximately 4700 people. In years past, it has predominantly been a farming district, however the make-up of our community is changing. A number of our families fall into a low socio-economic category. Buses transport students to our school from the surrounding districts of Waaia, Tallygaroopna, Katunga, Strathmerton, Katamatite, Invergordon, Wunghnu and more.

The College currently has a student population of approximately 260 students and we are well connected with our feeder schools.

The College offers a wide range of subjects in a well-developed curriculum, incorporating some vertical grouping and opportunity for student voice. Our goal is to ensure that our classes meet the Victorian Curriculum and the needs of our cohort.
