Our client has a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and is now seeking an experienced
Site Manager
to join their growing business.

The role is a Site Manager running a smaller refurb project up to $2m on a defence site as a number one and reporting into a PM. For this project he candidate will need to have baseline clearance.

Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects from inception to completion. Projects they work on are generally Industrial, Defence or Commercial in nature.

Due to the defence nature of the projects, candidates must be an Australian Citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
  • Complete daily site diary entries
  • Review and manage key project issues
  • Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
  • Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
  • Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
  • Assist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
  • Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
  • Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Trade or building related Qualification
  • Minimum 5 to 10yrs years' experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
  • Construction Safety Induction (White) card
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Australian Citizenship
