Job description:
Position Purpose
Join our professional team as a Kerbside Officer, where you'll help ensure the smooth, safe, and customer-friendly operation of areas.
Kerbside Officers are responsible for managing traffic zones, assisting customers (especially those with special needs), and enforcing regulations to keep operations running smoothly and safely, whilst ensuring a positive experience for all. As a Kerbside Officer you will be:
- Manning and controlling taxi operation to ensure passengers are taken and not refused or abandon by taxi drivers.
- Reporting taxi drivers' poor behaviour and misconduct.
- Taking care of loading docks and keeping good records of deliveries to tenants.
- Ensuring Uber operation is not blocking general traffic.
- Controlling buses and coaches' operations.
Key Responsibilities
Direct traffic and provide clear instructions to vehicles and passengers
Enforce parking and transport regulations
Deliver excellent customer service to all passengers
Assist elderly or mobility-impaired customers
Communicate effectively via radio and report incidents
Monitor safety, respond to concerns, and ensure smooth operations
Qualification
Mandatory
- White Card - Construction Induction Card
Blue Card - Traffic Control Accreditation
Good communication and conflict resolution skills
A strong customer-first attitude
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Desirable
- Previous experience in traffic control or public-facing roles is a plus - but no experience necessary, we provide training
