Join NTRO's Structures team, focused on delivering key bridge and transportation structures asset projects to clients across private and public sector. These roles are suited to individuals with experienced in the design, inspection and analysis of transportation structures.
We are seeking individuals who are keen to be a part of NTRO's future and who will be a key team member contributing to the delivery of local, State, National and International projects and initiatives.
We have two roles available within the Structures Team - Mid-level and Senior Structural Engineers. These roles are both full-time, based within our Brisbane office.
Main duties of the role
- Contribute to infrastructure research and implementation of solutions to clients
- Assist in the delivery of key bridge and structures transportation asset projects
- Be a source of technical knowledge in the bridge asset management area
- Have a strong desire to further develop skills and capabilities to become an expert in the bridge asset management area
- Drives safety improvements across every aspect of project work, ensuring best practices are identified, applied, and advanced
Mid-Level
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years' experience in related field
- Some structural and condition assessment/rating skills backed by sound knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Desirable to have some experience in structural design and/or structural assessment as well as asset valuation and remaining life determination
- Great verbal / presentation communication skills
- Good experience in writing technical reports
- Looking to continue developing your professional registration in achieving MIEAust, RPEQ, CPEng, NER.
- Must hold a valid Australian drivers licence
Senior- Level
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering with 7-10 years of bridge/transportation structures experience
- Professional registration (MIEAust, RPEQ, CPEng, NER)
- Proficient in technical report writing and advanced verbal/presentation communication skills
- Ability to quality review technical reports and documentation that the team produces
- Skilled in the design of transportation structures. Road bridges and related structures required with rail and port structures are highly desired
- Ability to independently undertake and lead the investigation, assessment and reporting for transportation structures, including testing, structural assessment and remedial design
- Practical experience in the strategic review, assessment and program development for bridge and structures networks
- Demonstrated experience in the development of successful tenders and proposals
- Must hold a valid Australian drivers licence and General Construction Induction Training (GCIT) card (or equivalent)
