Churchie is currently seeking highly motivated candidate for the following role to contribute to the vision of the Making of Men for the global community.
Director of Basketball and Senior School Teacher. This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term contract (5 years) commencing Term 1, 2026
The role of Director of Basketball is a key leadership role within the School's Basketball programme. The successful incumbent will mentor and guide our coaches; design, implement and deliver an annual Basketball programme; as well as provide operational leadership specific to the Schools' sporting culture.
Key requirements for this role are:
- Design and implement a comprehensive Basketball curriculum that integrates all age levels and training opportunities.
- Develop and deliver a coaching development programme for all Churchie Basketball coaches.
- Create and implement the "Churchie style of play," including coaching methodologies and training drills.
- Maintain a minimum 0.5 teaching load, delivering high-quality lessons aligned with subject syllabi and Churchie's educational programmes.
- Leverage technology to enhance teaching, assessment, and reporting.
- Fulfil all administrative duties associated with classroom teaching, including reporting and discipline management.
- Must have current work rights for Australia (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, NZ Citizen)
All staff at Churchie are expected to support the philosophies of the School, must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers. Recent experience with International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is highly desirable.
