About This Role
A rare opportunity has become available in our market-leading Sydney Valuations team for a
Manager
or
Senior Manager.
This team leads the way in valuations excellence across the Asia-Pacific market and is a high-performing environment in which you can truly stand out, be recognised, and make a difference. You will be valued for your knowledge and commitment to the highest standards of technical expertise, as well as building and nurturing client relationships with a diverse client base, ranging from start-ups to international multi-billion infrastructure asset managers and major corporates.

Key Responsibilities
You will take the lead on a variety of engagements from start to finish, including business and share valuations for tax and accounting purposes, valuations to support transactions, Independent Expert Reports and Purchase Price Allocations.

  • Lead the preparation of high-quality accounting valuation reports and advice for a range of purposes, including Independent Expert's Reports (or Fairness Opinions), Purchase Price Allocations and general business, equity and intangible asset valuations
  • Undertake robust valuation assessments based on the full range of valuation methodologies, utilising best-practice financial modelling
  • Oversee valuations research offering value-added insights into comparable companies and transactions, industry trends and market conditions
  • Drive business development initiatives and participate in activities with a focus on growing the firm's valuations practice

As a senior member of the team, you will lead a team of valuations professionals on client engagements from end to end, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members on technical valuation matters.

Required
Skills and experience

  • Relevant degree or accounting / finance professional qualification(s)
  • Significant accounting valuations experience, ideally gained within an accounting, boutique valuations or investment firm setting
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to provide coaching and leadership to less experienced team members
  • Autonomous working style with a sense of ownership, personal accountability, and pride in what you do

Desirable

  • CFA or MAppFin qualification(s) or other relevant overseas qualification(s) would be highly regarded
