Lauriston Girls' School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Co-Educator to join our team at the Blairholme Early Learning Centre. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a collaborative and nurturing environment that embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy and supports the holistic development of young learners.
About the role
- Part-time (0.587FTE), ongoing position
- Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 2.00pm
- Commencing January 2026
- Warm, inclusive learning environment
As a Kindergarten Co-Educator, you will work closely with Kindergarten Teachers and the Co-Directors of Curriculum and Community to support the implementation of our early learning program. You will engage with children and families, and contribute to the smooth operation and warm atmosphere of the Kindergarten. This role also includes providing lunch cover across rooms.
The successful candidate will:
- Support the daily program and learning experiences under teacher direction
- Prepare and maintain learning spaces and materials
- Provide lunch cover across rooms, ensuring safe and nurturing supervision
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Have a commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- Be willing to contribute proactively to the learning environment
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in early childhood development and education
- Sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and its application in early childhood education
- First Aid certification
- Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) and Police Check
- Early childhood qualifications in line with ACECQA guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience in integration support desirable
