Welcome to Kingpin, where hospitality and entertainment collide. You might think you know us, but we're about to redefine fun in Melbourne. Opening late 2025, our new Kingpin venue is set to be the ultimate showstopper, your new local and quite frankly, a bit of a show-off. Spanning a massive 3700m², this space will feature:
- A next level bar and grill with serious main character energy
- 2 bars, 16 taps, endless vibes craft and classic beers, cocktails and premium pours
- Every sport live ensuring guests never miss a match-game moment

Essence of the position:
We have begun the search for our Director of Fun – essentially, our Entertainment Manager In this role you will be the driving force behind our entertainment program and curating a dynamic calendar. Some of your key areas of responsibility will be:
- The driving force behind our Entertainment program; you will book live acts & performers, host events like trivia, themed promotional events and curate our entertainment calendar
- Having one ear to the ground, you will be across market trends and guest preferences from sports to music to cultural events – your finger isn't on the pulse, you ARE the pulse
- Drive positive guest interactions, create a buzz and understand how to host an epic party
- Manage important stakeholder relationships within the venue and the other Heads of Department and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure our entertainment goes off without a hitch
- Lead of team (your Agents of Fun & concierges) to deliver remarkable experiences and skillfully schedule your team to maintain service and meet budgetary targets
- Analyse audience feedback and look for continual improvement that will enhance future events
- Oversee logistical arrangements where necessary including travel, accommodation and technical requirements for events
Key Attributes & Capabilities:
Putting people neatly into boxes, isn't really our style, but there are a few key factors that will be really important when it comes to selecting the right candidate for this position:
- A creative mindset and ability to create engaging entertainment experiences that will resonate with our audience
- Proven experience in talent management, event management and team management from a related environment
- Skilled in budget management, marketing and promotion
- Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills – able to effectively manage relationships with clients, vendors and audiences
- You must hold a valid WWCC or obtain one for this role
