Reports to: Engineering Manager

Build electronics that keep working when things get rough.

APC designs and manufactures rugged, mission-critical systems in Adelaide for Defence, mining and heavy industry. We're growing and looking for a hands-on Electrical/Electronics Engineer to help take designs from prototype to reliable, repeatable production.

What you'll do
  • Work across the lifecycle: prototype bring-up, verification/validation, production support and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues methodically and implement fixes that stick.
  • Support manufacturability and test: contribute to jigs, fixtures and automated test to enable smooth handover to the line.
  • Keep product data accurate (BOMs, drawings, test procedures, change notes) within our quality system.
  • Collaborate every day with design, production, supply chain and QA; expect time at the bench and on the floor.
About you (we're open on level)
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in any of: hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, validation testing, manufacturing support or test development.
  • Experience across multiple areas is preferred: hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, validation testing, manufacturing support or test development.
  • Comfortable with modern ECAD tools (e.g. Altium) and reading schematics/PCB layouts.
  • Practical, curious and organised; you communicate clearly and enjoy shipping robust product.

Nice to have (optional): exposure to environmental/EMC testing, hazardous areas, automated test (e.g. LabVIEW or Python), or mechanical integration (e.g. SolidWorks). If you haven't used these yet, we'll help you learn.
