You will be required to ensure safe and efficient navigation and operations of vessels, transportation of passengers and crew in accordance with the requirements of Government Legislation.You must be prepared to undertake shift work including weekend and public holidays.An eligibility list will be created from this recruitment process.What you bringTransdev Sydney Ferries are looking for an experienced vessel Master with a demonstrated understanding of, and experience working with, an integrated safety management system. In addition,Have a strong knowledge of appropriate Acts and Statutory Regulations applicable to Ferry Operations, Sydney Harbour and associated government legislation.Experience operating vessels that are equivalent to those currently operated by Transdev Sydney Ferries.Proven leader with training and coaching skills, who can build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with managers and staff at all levels.Have an analytical and problem solving skills to assess the day to day operation of vessel and staff management.Strong interpersonal skills to direct and manage crew members.Importantly this role will be a team player with a demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service. Effective planning and time management skills are essential and will ensure safe journey outcomes and on-time running of vessels.In addition to the requirements above, you must possess the following current certifications:AMSA Master
