About The Role
We are currently recruiting for the role of
Mechanical
Technician
within the
West Musgrave
team. This is a
permanent full-time
role FIFO from Perth on
an 8 days on / 6 off
roster.
Dayshift ONLY
As a mechanical technician at West Musgrave, you'll be responsible for the following:-
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensuring high quality risk assessments and utilising SAP, updating work order history and handovers
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, attending breakdowns and running complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of all infrastructure equipment
- Working from schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals, and recording any modifications
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way.
- Providing input into root cause investigation and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
About You
- Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist or Hydraulics, or Heavy Duty Fitter)
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
- Certificate III in Mines Rescue (highly desirable, upskill available)
- Aerodrome Reporting Officer (desirable)
- Valid Australian C class driver's license
- Basic Computer Literacy with 1SAP experience advantageous.
- EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Confined Space, Working at Heights Certificates (Desirable)
