About the Role

Are you caring, empathetic, and passionate about supporting the elderly?

As a Care Staff Member, you'll play an essential role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in all aspects of their daily living. You'll work as part of a supportive and respectful team, ensuring every resident receives care that honours their dignity, independence, and individual preferences.

Your commitment and compassion will directly contribute to creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where residents can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

What You'll Bring

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent qualification in individual support or nursing care).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar aged care or healthcare setting.
  • A caring and patient attitude, with the ability to provide compassionate support to older adults.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, residents' rights, infection control, and workplace health and safety practices.
  • Physical capability to safely assist residents with transfers and activities of daily living.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and respect for the Christian values and mission of Adventist Aged Care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Support residents with compassion, dignity, and respect, fostering independence wherever possible.
  • Observe, report, and document changes in residents' health or wellbeing to the Registered Nurse or Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver person-centred care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
