About the Role

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for others?

As a Cleaner at Adventist Aged Care, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our facility. You'll help ensure that our residents live in a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment — one that feels like home.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with a supportive team, following structured cleaning programs while upholding our commitment to excellence and respect for every individual.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in cleaning within aged care, hospital, or commercial environments (desirable).
  • A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, following instructions and maintaining safe work practices.
  • A commitment to person-centred care and to the values of Adventist Aged Care.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness across residents' rooms, common areas, and staff spaces according to facility standards and hygiene protocols.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and adapt to additional tasks as needed.
  • Handle cleaning products and equipment safely, reporting hazards or repairs promptly.
  • Contribute to infection control and safety by adhering to WH&S and facility guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Support a warm, respectful, and dignified environment for residents at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
