Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Psychologist to join our Wellbeing Team in a temporary full-time capacity. This position operates during term time and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2026, concluding at the end of Term 4, 2026, to cover a staff member on leave.
While full-time availability is preferred, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Applicants are kindly asked to indicate their availability in their application.
Our team of School Psychologists are key members of the Wellbeing Department at Ravenswood, and the main function of this role is to provide counselling and psychological support to our students.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Experience as a psychologist in a school or community based setting;
- Experience with CBT as well as a strong interest in positive psychology and related therapies;
- Familiarity with trauma informed interventions;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice;
- Experience in providing quality evidence-based services for children, adolescents, and their parents.
- Experience working with groups;
- Experience in staff training;
- Experience working with children and adolescents from Prep to Year 12;
- Endorsement in clinical or educational and developmental psychology is desirable;
- Minimum 3-5 years working as a psychologist.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Strong understanding/ experience working with young people and families of diverse cultural backgrounds;
- Ability to work with children and adolescents with disabilities or learning needs;
- Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools;
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology;
- Eligibility for registration with Australian Psychological Society (APS).
