Join our team at GKTECH, where we specialise in designing and manufacturing innovative performance products for drifting and racing applications. With warehouses in Australia, Japan, and the US, and our headquarters based in Williamstown North, Victoria, Australia, we are expanding our operations due to high demand in the US market and the desire to venture into new chassis. We are a dynamic team of individuals united by our passion for motorsport and product development.

As an Engineer at GKTECH, you will collaborate closely with our in-house engineering team to bring products from conceptualization to production. You will be involved in every stage of the process. This includes a hands-on role in our workshop dismantling vehicle components, 3D scanning and processing, 3D CAD design of products, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, installing prototype parts, testing, and managing the product lifecycle until production and beyond.

Required qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through from idea to production.
  • Passion for motorsport with experience in any form of motorsport considered advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented personality.
  • CAD experience in design, drawings and FEA using Solidworks.
  • Proficient in hands-on work, including dismantling and reassembling motor vehicles, primarily focusing on suspension/steering components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues during testing phases.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within our small team environment.

Advantageous attributes:

  • Strong understanding of vehicle kinematics.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as lathes, mills, laser cutting and CNC brake press folding.
  • Experience with 3D printers, 3D scanning and processing of 3D scans.
  • Experience with large assemblies in Solidworks.
  • Experience taking parts/designs from concept through to market.
