CNC Machinist – Afternoon/Evening Shift

What you'll be doing:

This is an afternoon/evening shift role, 8hour shift with monthly RDO, flexible start (2pm-3pm) and finish times with overtime available

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Setting and operating CNC machines, supporting a mix of both non-recurring engineering (NRE) work and ongoing development projects.
• Conducting in-process inspections to verify that components meet all required specifications and tolerances.
• Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Maintaining a strong commitment to safe work practices and contributing to a culture of safety at all times.

What you bring:

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualities, skills and experience:

• Hands-on experience in CNC machining, with a focus on precision and quality.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a sharp eye for detail.
• A genuine desire to learn and develop, supported by a positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to pick up new skills quickly.
• Ability to confidently read technical drawings and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach to challenges.
• Previous experience in machining castings

Desirable but not essential:

• Exposure to CAD/CAM (Mastercam and/or SolidWorks)
• Exposure to tool and die work
• Exposure to fixture design and manufacture
• Exposure to 4 & 5 axis machining
• Exposure to GD&T
• Experience working with aerospace components
• Strong understanding of CNC programming fundamentals.
