Cafe Manager

We're on the lookout for a Front Of House Cafe Manager who will oversee the day-to-day running of our front of house area. In this role, you'll lead and develop a talented team, ensuring customer experiences and a fun, high-performance culture. We're searching for someone who's skilled at people management, hospitality operations, and raising operational standards across the board. What You'll Own

People

  • Lead & Mentor: Supervise and inspire our front of house team to excel in their roles every day.
  • Hire & Develop: Hire effectively, and maintain training standards.
  • Training Standards: Ensure that all new team members are trained using our training system and methods.
  • Employee Engagement: Work alongside our team to maintain a supportive, inclusive culture, where feedback is heard and valued.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships between the cafe, suppliers, and any external partners to ensure seamless communication and success.

Physical Spaces

  • Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain clear processes for cleanliness, productivity, and overall cafe presentation using checklists and audit tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify any operational blockers and remove obstacles, ensuring staff have the tools and environment they need to thrive.
  • Health & Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards for both our team and customers at all times.

Product

  • Quality Control: Oversee coffee quality and recipe adherence, working closely with trainers to deliver a perfect coffee every time.
  • Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers, ensuring timely communication and professional collaboration.

Performance

  • Drive Sales: Boost revenue and build customer loyalty through consistent, high-quality service and products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement systems that support team growth, financial targets, and positive customer experiences.
  • Financial Ownership: Oversee key metrics such as rostering, waste reduction, inventory management, product quality, and overall profitability.
