Hear Check are looking for a talented Clinic Receptionist to join our small dynamic team. If you like a combination of reception, administrative duties, are tech savvy, and enjoy a busy, multi-tasking environment, working with clients and clinicians, then this job is for you. This role is being offered as a permanent part-time position three (3) days per week. Days of the week worked will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Hear Check is a dynamic and innovative, independently owned and operated, audiology (hearing) clinic based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We are a small, boutique, highly personalised clinic.  We are focused on clinical and customer service excellence. Every day we help people with hearing impairment to improve their quality of life, working with adults, children and families. We believe in a team approach, in which our team work together to deliver the best outcomes to our patients.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinic Receptionist to become part of a dynamic and patient-focused team. This position is a vital role as it will be responsible for the initial patient contact and customer support for all patients attending the practice.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Coordinating day-to-day clinic operations
  • Providing high-level reception and administrative support to clinicians and patients
  • Responding to enquiries (face-to-face, phone and online), regarding services and products, accurately and in-line with established policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and correspondence
  • Managing the appointment bookings to ensure efficient use of the clinician's time, scheduling and rescheduling patients.
  • Assisting our clients with linking hearing aids to android and apple phones
  • Invoicing clients and third-party funders
  • Prepping files and Hearing Services Program, DVA, & Medicare claim-related paperwork
  • Scanning paper files into a digital filing system
  • Prepping hearing aid repairs and orders
  • Processing deliveries and stock
  • Cleaning and in-house repairs on hearing aids and devices

About you

You will bring a combination of professionalism, initiative, and excellent people skills to the role. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a healthcare environment and enjoys being a key point of contact for patients, clinicians, and external stakeholders.

Criteria:

  • Applicants with experience and/or Allied health University students are encouraged to apply.
  • Must enjoy learning new systems and providing support to elderly patients, and families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and professional presentation
  • Tech savvy with Apple, Android and other technical applications
  • Good experience in using Apple and/or Android phones
  • Experience in Xero or MYOB, or accounts desirable but not necessary
  • Experience in the Hearing Industry or other allied health/medical industry desirable, but not necessary
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and patient management systems
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and prioritise effectively
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a clinical team
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card
