Currently looking for a General Labourer

We are a small Metal Fabrication business on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, primarily producing Structural Steel components.

This role is involved working with completed structural steel items. Moving using a forklift, surface preparation (Wire Wheel Buffing) and spray painting (Primer). A fork lift license is essential and experience moving steel is advantageous .Familiarity with Spray Painting and use of power tools i.e. 5 inch Grinder is beneficial, although on job training will assist - not hard to learn.

Current position is for Day Shift 600am -200pm - Some overtime possible

5 Days per week - 40Hrs - plus Saturday morning (as required)

Required Skills:

  • Forklift High Risk License
  • Fit and Healthy - physical work
  • Experience with power tools - Grinder, Drill, etc
  • Follow direction and work safely in team work environment
  • Must be reliable with stable work history and a positive attitude to work
  • Good attention to detail

Advantages (not necessary)

  • Spray painting experience is advantage
  • Dogging ticket
  • Gantry Crane experience

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

  • Overtime pay
  • Penalty rates
