About the role

The Northern Foot Clinic is seeking an experienced Podiatry Allied Health Assistant to join our team in Gawler and Elizabeth Vale, SA on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide essential support to our team of qualified Podiatrists, helping to deliver high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth running of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting Podiatrists with patient examinations, treatments and procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for use
  • Providing patients with information and guidance on post-treatment care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and completing administrative tasks as required
  • Ensuring the clinic's facilities, equipment and supplies are well-organised and well-maintained
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service and a caring, empathetic approach to patient interactions

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in allied health, such as a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent (HLT32407 or HLT42507)
  • Minimum Certificate III qualification in Allied Health Assistance is required for this position
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or allied health setting, preferably in a podiatry clinic.
  • A minimum of 6-12 months healthcare experience in an allied health setting is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A caring, patient-focused approach and a genuine desire to help others
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some evenings and weekends
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
