About the role
- Hybrid and fully remote working arrangements available
- 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE (flexible work arrangements available)
- 12 month fixed term contract (parental leave cover)
- $102,303 – $107, % super + 17.5% annual leave loading + 5 additional days health/wellbeing leave
Working within the Marketing and Communications Directorate, the Senior Advisor, Media is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the organisation's media and media-related communications activity. This includes developing proactive and reactive media releases and plans, researching, and writing opinion pieces, and preparing briefing notes for media events.
About you
You will have a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or public relations, with significant experience in media relations or journalism, and interpreting policy and/or complex messaging to the media and public. You will have previously worked in media and comms teams to develop compelling stories and content, which can be integrated through social media. And you will have expert written communications skills, with the ability to portray complex information in 'simple English'.
