What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit have a casual opportunity for experienced HC Drivers join our team located in West Melbourne VIC. As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering single container loads with a variety of freight from major customers. We currently have a casual opportunity working Monday – Friday on afternoon shift commencing at 3:30pm – 11:30pm + potential overtime.

  • Deliver containerised freight both locally and throughout the region.
  • Daily prestart checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior.
  • Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
  • Occasional reach stacker operation to transport containers around the Linfox yard
  • Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed.
  • Comply with Linfox's coupling & uncoupling procedures.
  • Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus.

  • Current HC licence
  • Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Melbourne region and beyond
  • Rail terminal experience would be highly regarded 
  • Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction.
  • History of safe work practices & excellent communication.
  • Rail experience highly regarded but not essential
