About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cold Store PM Shift Supervisor to support the Senior Cold Store Supervisor and Manager in the daily operations of our sheep/lamb dispatch operations. This includes overseeing chilled and frozen product handling from the cold store complex. The role ensures compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), environmental standards, and quality systems such as HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). As Cold Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining operational standards, supervising staff, and achieving production efficiency within the framework of TFI Stawell policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production & Efficiency: Drive maximum production output, meet efficiency targets, and actively manage production costs.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure stringent adherence to all WH&S, Environmental, and Quality Standards (including TFI Stawell, HACCP, IMS, and regulatory standards).
  • People Leadership: Lead, motivate, train, and supervise team members to consistently achieve production requirements and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Customer Service: Manage and resolve customer complaints and queries within the required timeframe.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Conduct regular safety checks, proactively report hazards, and coordinate necessary maintenance activities.
  • Resource Management: Optimize department staffing levels to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Reporting & Administration: Accurately complete essential daily documentation, including operational reports and manning.
  • Strategic Input: Actively contribute to weekly QA and Supervisor meetings, driving continuous improvement and system implementation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a leadership role within the meat or food processing industry. (Desired)
  • Aus-meat Sheep Meat Specification Level 2 (Desired).
  • Forklift License.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of WHS and safety processes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive relationships with team members.

Full-time permanent position 38 hours per week
