About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Wendy's Clean, Care and Support as a Casual Cleaner/Support Worker.

Working in Hervey Bay, QLD 4655 and Maryborough 4650, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning and personal support services to our aged and disability clients.

Casual work with the goal of achieving a regular schedule of 30 plus hours per week with regular clients.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform thorough and efficient cleaning duties in client's homes, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general tidying with the client guiding you
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversation
  • Liaise with client families and other care professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Follow all health, safety and quality standards to deliver exceptional service

What We're Looking For

  • Energetic, Hardworking, Reliable staff with an attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as aged care, disability support or cleaning services
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in aged care, disability support or cleaning services is required
  • An understanding and empathetic view for those with mental health struggles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A caring, understanding and patient approach when working with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities to efficiently complete tasks
  • A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
  • A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
  • Current Police check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) are mandatory
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
