Reclink Australia is the only national not for profit organisation delivering sport, recreation and arts opportunities to people experiencing marginalisation or disadvantage, providing inclusive and joyful programs to support communities and improve physical health, mental health and social inclusion.
We partner and collaborate with support service organisations and sector networks to strengthen social engagement, connections and pathways within local communities, creating opportunities for people to build supportive relationships and reduce loneliness.
Through our programs, we engage a wide range of diverse demographics in remote, regional and Metro regions Australia-wide including people experiencing significant mental health challenges, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, culturally and linguistic diverse communities, correctional services and economic hardship.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Southeast Queensland, the Sports Coach is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of sport and recreation and programs in Ipswich.
Reclink Australia works to support disadvantaged and isolated individuals, by fostering inclusion and creating opportunities for connection. The organisation is dedicated to positive health and wellbeing outcomes for our participants.
The hours for this casual role are 7.5 per week, with current funding supporting the role until 28 November 2025.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will need:

A qualification from (or studying towards) a recognised TAFE, College or University in Community Services, Sport and Recreation, or a similar discipline.

Demonstrated experience in direct program delivery in sport and recreation, community development or a similar area.

Awareness of the issues faced by marginalised target groups.

Commitment to working respectfully with individuals and groups from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Experience working effectively within community networks with existing network connections in the Ipswich area.

Demonstrated ability to, with minimal supervision, work constructively and harmoniously in a team.

Sound time management and organisational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrate commitment to the safety of children, young people and adults.

This is a casual role with the working from June through to November 2025, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
