MPS has been caring for residents' homes for over 25 years. As part of the Mears Group, we offer partnership solutions and expertise in estate management and property maintenance.

Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide including, Orbit: one of the largest housing providers in the midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.

We are now seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join us in the Thanet/Margate area to support our ongoing partnership with Orbit; now in its thirteenth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.

About the Role:

As a Multi Skilled Operative with MPS, you'll work on our Major Repairs contract working in tenanted properties, supporting residents with reactive repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of properties, working from 'job' to 'job', on your planned route.

You will be working in a team to mainly fit Bathrooms and Kitchens, however, will also be responsible for a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks. You'll need plenty of previous experience and a positive 'can do' attitude to excel in this role, meeting new people and delivering high standards of work and service are key.  

Role Criteria:

  • Experience in multiple trades. Carpentry & Joinery, plastering, Plumbing is essential,
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Be a great team player as well possess the ability to work well under your own initiative
  • Excellent Communication and Customer service skills
  • Preferably experience in Tiling, Painting & Decorating, cap and cove flooring, lay flat lay vinyl, plastering.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
