Responsibilities of the role
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager – Mid Value this newly designed position will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and growth of the Mid Value program through the implementation and daily operations of key fundraising initiatives for MSF Australia and New Zealand.
A core focus is on a multi-channel fundraising approach that prioritises personalised donor engagement in addition to direct marketing and digital fundraising strategies, the goal is for you to build meaningful relationships that retains support, increases donor loyalty and grows revenue.
You will be accountable for managing a large portfolio of donors ensuring the effective solicitation of gifts, and the cultivation and stewardship of donors, supported by timely reporting and administration.
In addition to supporting the Mid Value program you will also actively identify prospects for the Major Giving and Gift in Wills programs, creating a seamless pathway for deeper donor engagement and long-term philanthropic commitment.
What you will bring
As a donor facing fundraiser, you will be known for your confidence in speaking with donors and your alignment with achieving significant growth targets. You will be motivated by developing your career in fundraising and contributing to a global humanitarian aid organisation. Ideally you can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor stewardship or account management, ideally in a not-for-profit organisation.
- Knowledge of broad fundraising principles and industry practices – in particular philanthropic and direct marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
