The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing essential administrative and operational support to the marketing team. This role is primarily based in Walsh Bay, Sydney.

1. Hours of Work

This role is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday (38hours), based at STC Wharf Offices. As Sydney Theatre Company is a live performance organisation, you will also be required to work outside these hours from time to time. STC does have flexible working arrangements and policies for managing after hours work as agreed with the supervising manager.

2. Wages and Entitlements


• This is an entry level role into marketing


• 4 weeks annual leave


• Complimentary tickets to STC productions

Selection Criteria

Essential


• 1-2 years' experience working in Marketing, Sales, Advertising and/or Administration.


• Developed and demonstrated skills in effective communication and efficient administration.


• Developed and demonstrated skills in time management.


• Able to take initiative and self-direction.


• High attention to detail.


• Willingness to take direction and feedback, and to work as part of a team.

Desirable


• Experience in an arts organisation, and an interest in theatre and the arts.


• Formal education in marketing and/or administration


• Experience working with budgets and/or invoicing.


• Knowledge and skills in Tessitura
