About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator/Teacher Aide to join our Early Years team, working with children from Pre-Kindy to Prep in a mixed-age Montessori environment to start ASAP.  As part of our close-knit school community, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Montessori-trained teachers and Early Years Educators who are committed to fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your professional knowledge while working in a setting that values respect, care, and the holistic development of every child. Hours are within school day times (approx. 8:00am – 3:00pm, Monday- Friday), school terms only.

About you:

You will be a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator/Teacher Aide, passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. You will have a good understanding of the Montessori Method, ideally with Montessori training.

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • An ACECQA approved Certificate III/ Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years early years / classroom experience
  • A genuine empathy for, and demonstrated understanding of, the needs of children
  • A strong understanding of child development and best practice in Early Years Education
  • A sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) and the application of these into your practices and the class program
  • Montessori qualifications or knowledge (desirable)
