We are seeking an experienced
Security Architect
to lead the end-to-end security architecture for
RegStar 26
and related enterprise systems. The role requires deep expertise in
security frameworks, cloud identity (Azure AD), encryption, and network segmentation
, ensuring compliance with organisational cybersecurity standards and governance. The successful candidate will establish and maintain security patterns, assess risk, and guide solution design to ensure secure and resilient delivery across critical transport systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and oversee the
    end-to-end security architecture
    for the RegStar 26 platform and associated systems.
  • Develop and maintain
    security patterns, principles, and reference architectures
    aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the
    implementation of Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF), CDN, and security configurations
    to safeguard applications from DDoS and data leakage threats.
  • Provide expert guidance on
    cloud security
    , including
    Azure AD, identity federation, and access management
    .
  • Define and enforce
    network segmentation, encryption standards, and secure integration models
    across platforms.
  • Conduct
    security risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability analysis
    for new and existing solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with
    Transport's Cyber Security Policy and architectural governance
    .
  • Review solution designs, configurations, and deployment architectures for compliance with
    enterprise security standards
    .
  • Support
    incident response and remediation planning
    , contributing to continuous improvement in security posture.

·     Provide mentorship and guidance to solution and infrastructure teams on security best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

·     Proven experience as a
Security Architect
within large-scale enterprise or government environments.

·     Strong knowledge of
enterprise security frameworks
(e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SABSA, TOGAF).

·     Hands-on experience with
Akamai WAF, CDN, and security configurations
.

·     Expertise in
cloud security and identity management
, particularly
Azure AD
and hybrid identity models.

·     Strong understanding of
network security, segmentation, encryption, and access control
.

·     Experience conducting
risk assessments, threat modelling, and architecture reviews
.

·     Ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable architecture and design.

·     Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·     Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

·     Professional certifications such as
CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or Azure Security Engineer Associate
.

·     Experience in
transport or critical infrastructure environments
.

·     Familiarity with
DevSecOps practices
and security automation tools.
