SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Proven experience in food handling or food manufacturing is highly regarded.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and SQF is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience supervising small teams.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude/ability.
  • Proven and strong observation skills.
  • Commitment to full time employment, working Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible availability to attend rostered morning or afternoon shift.
  • Proven commitment to Safe Work Practises.
  • Excellent employment-related references.
  • Fit and healthy, with the ability to safely lift up to 25kg.
  • High standard of personal hygiene.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

WHAT DOES THE POSITION INVOLVE

From Day #1 you will receive on-the-job training from experienced Operators and Supervisors.

In time you will have a major influence on machine productivity, quality control, operational efficiency and waste minimisation.

Following a period of probation your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Production line set up, machine operation and wash-up.
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding.
  • Training and supervision of your team.
  • Consistent compliance to company, quality and product standards.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe work environment.
  • Accurate completion of relevant paperwork and production records.

CANDIDATES WHO ATTEND INTERVIEW WILL ALSO COMPLETE:

  • Mechanical aptitude assessments:
  • Written mechanical competency assessment.
  • Hands-on assessment involving components from a Production machine.
