About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dermal Therapist and Laser Technician to join our team at The Skin Collective Co in Healesville. This is a brand new clinic, with spacious rooms and a Fotona Dynamis and Fotona Q switch laser and DMK skincare. As a Dermal Therapist and Laser Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality skin treatments and laser services to our clients, helping them achieve their aesthetic goals. This is a GP run Medical Skin Clinic so there is the opportunity to learn more about medical management of different skin conditions.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing a range of advanced skin treatments using DMK skincare and enzyme treatments, facials, peels, microneedling, and advanced Laser procedures as well as laser hair removal.
  2. Assessing client skin conditions and skin analysis using the Observe 520 and developing customised treatment plans
  3. Operating laser and other aesthetic equipment safely and effectively. Experience with using the Fotona SP Dynamis and Qmax will be looked on favourably
  4. Maintaining detailed client records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  5. Collaborating with the broader team to deliver exceptional customer service and support the growth of the business

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in Dermal Therapy or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and an ability to work autonomously. Initially we are looking for someone to open the clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and then as the business grows increasing hours will be available.
  2. Initially you will shadow our existing dermal therapist and Dr Goldsmith but the ability to work autonomously is a MUST as the days of work you will be the sole practitioner initially.
  3. Expertise in performing a wide range of skin treatments, laser safety training and certificate in laser operation (again having used a Fotona laser previously would be highly advantageous to the successful candidate)
  4. Excellent understanding of skin anatomy, physiology, and the latest industry trends and technologies with prior experience using DMK an advantage
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to also do reception and administrative work, including client bookings, recalls, answering the phone, some social media management
  6. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and achieving the best possible outcomes for clients
  7. Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional development as well as taking a role in training other staff members as the team grows.
