About the role

Engineer data-driven, automated, and personalised marketing journeys that move individuals from awareness to enrolment or membership. This role is central to improving lead quality, conversion efficiency, and customer lifetime value across membership and education products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Journey Design: Map and optimise lifecycle journeys for members, learners, and prospects — from awareness and nurture to conversion and retention.

  • Automation: Build and refine CRM workflows and email automation using behavioural triggers and segmentation logic.

  • Paid Media Strategy: Manage paid search, social, display, and remarketing campaigns using full-funnel strategy (brand → product → conversion).

  • Creative Testing: Run A/B and multivariate testing on ad creatives, subject lines, and landing pages to improve click-through and conversion.

  • Conversion Optimisation: Identify friction points in the conversion funnel and work with Digital and Content to improve UX and messaging.

  • Cross-Functional Campaigns: Collaborate with Content Producer on lifecycle-specific content and with Digital Marketing on retargeting and lead-gen sequencing.

  • Data and Insight: Analyse conversion rates, open rates, and retention data to forecast and refine campaign efficiency.

  • Member Retention: Partner with Membership and Education teams to develop reactivation campaigns for lapsed audiences.

Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in customer journey design using CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Campaign Monitor) — from awareness to renewal.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret campaign performance and develop actionable insights to improve conversion and retention.

  • Experience designing segmentation strategies to tailor messaging to audience lifecycle stages (students, members, professionals, executives).

  • Deep understanding of how to integrate email, digital ads, content, and landing pages to move audiences through the funnel.

  • Ability to partner with digital marketing, content, and sales teams to align lifecycle campaigns with business goals.

  • 7+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing roles within a service-based, education, or membership organisation.

  • Experience building and managing nurture programs and retention campaigns.

  • Strong grasp of data privacy and consent management principles under Australian regulations.

  • Demonstrated success improving lead conversion and customer lifetime value through data-informed decision-making.
