CE Group is expanding our delivery footprint in Central Queensland and we're seeking a
Senior Electrical Project Manager
to lead delivery on a
mining construction project
at Mount Morgan Gold Mine. This is a major new-plant installation covering electrical, instrumentation and controls (EIC) across the process plant and supporting infrastructure — including multiple switchrooms, HV/LV distribution, field instrumentation and commissioning activities.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take end-to-end accountability for planning and execution of the EIC works across the plant. This role covers cost, schedule, procurement, subcontractor management, QA/QC, safety, reporting and client interface, with strong internal support from CE Group's established delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of site EIC works across switchrooms, HV/LV distribution, field power/controls and instrumentation installation
  • Drive project planning, critical path scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement and weekly/monthly reporting
  • Manage subcontractors, supervisors and workfront coordination across multiple areas and interfaces
  • Oversee testing, pre-commissioning readiness and close-out documentation (ITPs, MDRs, as-builts)
  • Ensure compliance with site safety systems, electrical safety/isolations, and QA requirements
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement and OEM/vendor packages to sequence installation and manage constraints
  • Control variations, commercial change management and stakeholder communication
  • Support local workforce planning and a high-performance site culture

About You:

  • Proven Senior PM / Construction Manager experience delivering electrical packages in mining or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong background in HV/LV, switchrooms/MCCs and plant electrical installation (EIC exposure highly regarded)
  • Solid scheduling and workface planning capability with a practical understanding of construction sequencing
  • Confident communicator who builds strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong focus on safety leadership, quality, compliance and delivery certainty
  • Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-interface construction environment
