Role Purpose

The Warehouse & Rental Fleet Maintenance Manager role will assist in overseeing warehouse operations for both Seating Matters and Motion Wheelchairs, ensuring efficient stock control, timely dispatch, and proper maintenance of the rental fleet. This role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Support the Operations Manager in the daily running of warehouse activities.

• Ensure incoming goods are received, checked, and stored accurately.

• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders on time and in full.

• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular cycle counts/inventories.

• Uphold health and safety standards across all warehouse operations.

Rental Fleet Care & Maintenance

• Carry out inspections, cleaning, and basic servicing of rental chairs before and after dispatch.

• Record and track the condition of each rental product, scheduling repairs or refurbishments as required.

• Work closely with sales and clinical teams to ensure all rental products meet safety and quality standards.

• Preparing all equipment needed by the sales teams for clinical assessment.

• Maintain organised storage and documentation of the rental fleet to ensure fast turnaround and customer satisfaction.

Team Support & Development

• Provide guidance and support to warehouse operatives and drivers when needed.

• Foster a positive team environment that aligns with Seating Australia's values.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Practical, hands-on approach with an eye for detail.

• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

• Good communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.

• Basic mechanical/technical knowledge is an advantage (especially for maintaining rental chairs).

• Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory roles desirable.

• Experience with rental, service, or fleet management (advantageous but not essential).

• Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain.

• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or basic computer skills.
