Job Title: Building Maintenance Assistant

Location: Inner City Brisbane (Preferably near Bowen Hills / Fortitude Valley)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual (Includes After-Hours Availability)

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our short-term accommodation properties. The role involves general maintenance tasks, quick response to guest-related issues, and being on-call for occasional after-hours emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs (basic plumbing, maintenance, painting, etc.)
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest-reported issues
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartments and common areas
  • Coordinate with contractors and trades as needed
  • Be available for after-hours calls (on a roster or rotating basis)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in building or property maintenance preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and time management
  • Physically fit and able to perform hands-on tasks
  • Must live locally or within close proximity to Bowen Hills / Fortitude Valley
  • Driver's licence is must
