Shell Energy is on the lookout for two enthusiastic and customer-focused team members to join our Melbourne based Sales team. As a Direct Sales Consultant, you'll be the first point of contact for potential customers. Answering inbound calls, making outbound calls, and guiding customers through the sign-up process. Your role will be key in delivering exceptional service, handling enquiries, and completing sales in line with all regulatory and compliance standards. 

With respect, integrity and honesty, responsibilities include:

  • Handle inbound sales and move-related calls with the goal of converting inquiries into successful customer acquisitions for Powershop.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a consistently positive customer experience across all interactions.

  • Conduct outbound calls to complete partial sales and retain customers who are moving or considering leaving Powershop.

  • Execute retention strategies through proactive outreach to customers at risk of leaving, aiming to maintain loyalty and satisfaction.

  • Support special sales campaigns and initiatives as assigned, contributing to team-wide goals and performance.

  • Perform welcome calls for new customers and collaborate on achieving monthly individual and team targets.

Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role:

  • Proven experience in phone-based sales with a strong ability to close deals.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

  • Strong teamwork orientation with a collaborative and proactive approach.

  • Understanding of energy industry sales regulations (preferred but not essential).
