Blueline (Tasmania's leading social enterprise in laundry and cleaning services) is seeking additional directors to join its Board.

We are a mission-driven organisation that for over 130 years has been creating meaningful employment for people facing barriers to work. We are currently in an exciting phase of growth and transformation, with major investments in assets, new technology, services and governance.

Applications are sought from directors who:

  • have a proven track record in commercial and/or social enterprises
  • possess an understanding of the role of the board, and the responsibilities of a director
  • are values-based, inclusive and ethical leaders with effective interpersonal skills and innovative thinking.
  • have substantial governance experience in their relevant field of expertise, preferably with AICD qualifications.

We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in governance, industrial operations & asset management, work health & safety, risk management & assurance, legal & regulatory, digital transformation, or commercial operations – particularly in the healthcare and hospitality sectors, but welcome interest from people of all backgrounds who share our commitment to inclusive employment.

Blueline Laundry is a work of the Catholic Church in Tasmania, operating as an incorporated association under the Archdiocese of Hobart, and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC).

All Board appointments are made by the Archbishop of Hobart upon the recommendation of the Blueline Laundry Board.  The initial appointment term will be for three years with a maximum tenure of nine years.

Board positions are voluntary and require attendance at regular board meetings plus participation in at least one board committee.
