The BSR Group is Australia's largest independent electrical and furniture retail group with over 180 locations nationwide. With iconic brands Betta, Designer Appliances, Stan Cash and RT Edwards Commercial leading the charge, we are experiencing amazing growth both in-store and online.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer, on a 12 month fixed-term contract, to maintain financial and operational records for BSR Group's growing portfolio of wholesale and retail businesses. Based at our Head Office, at the Brisbane Airport, the role will play an essential part in supporting the Accounts Payable team and contribute to the continued success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Entering accounts payable invoices
  • Keeping track of payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements and credit cards
  • Recording banking journals
  • Recording credit card transactions
  • Reconciling vendor and balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintaining historical records
  • Responding to external vendor queries
  • Responding to internal enquiries
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of accounts payable principals and procedures
  • Competent in MS Excel
  • Experience preparing financial reconciliations
  • Analytical approach, with good attention to detail
  • Good written & verbal communicator – effective, confident, polite, friendly, sociable
  • Desire to develop new skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team
