Roberts Bros Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated family business with over 40 years' experience in civil construction across the Gympie region.

We specialise in rural residential subdivisions and are seeking experienced earthmoving machinery operators to join our long-term team.

About the Role

We are looking for skilled operators with proven civil experience on one or more of the following machines:

  • Excavator
  • Dozer
  • Grader
  • Dump Truck

This position is a minimum of 40 hrs per week, Monday - Friday with overtime rates applicable.

A 4-month probation period applies for all new candidates.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience operating machinery in civil construction
  • Valid White/Blue Card
  • Current RII plant and machinery tickets (or equivalent)
  • Reliable transport and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
  • Willingness to assist with labouring tasks when required

Desirable Skills (Highly Regarded)

  • Experience with additional plant such as Loader, Posi-track, Roller, etc.
  • MR or HR Truck Licence
  • Familiarity with Topcon GPS systems
  • Proven final trim experience using Grader and Trimble UTS
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans
  • Reside locally within the Gympie region
  • Non-smoker preferred (worksites are smoke-free)

  • Excavators: Volvo & Komatsu (1.7 – 36 tonne)
  • Dozers: Komatsu D51, D65 & D155
  • Dump Trucks: Volvo 25t & Komatsu 30t
  • Graders: Komatsu GD555 & CAT M140
